“It was a real pleasure to be able to present this well-deserved BEM to Michael Weeks at Scorrier House on 19th October” said the Lord-Lieutenant, Colonel Edward Bolitho. “Michael has done so much for cricket in Cornwall for almost 50 years, as player, scorer, groundsman, secretary, media officer and sole producer of the annual yearbook – ‘The Bible of Cornish Cricket’. He is a well known speaker on BBC Radio Cornwall and no volunteer has given more to further the interests of the sport, to widen participation and to administer the game of cricket in Cornwall.”
