Cornwall’s First Virtual Legal Service

Cornwall’s first virtual Legal Service is now available to join and view on the Truro Cathedral website (here) and the Cathedral YouTube channel (here).

One of the many casualties of lockdown was the annual Legal Service and The High Sheriff of Cornwall worked closely with The Very Reverend Roger Bush Dean of Truro and his team at Truro Cathedral to produce a rather different version of the traditional celebration of the many and varied aspects of the judiciary in Cornwall.

With a theme of ‘A Brighter Future’, some of Cornwall’s brightest young musical, dance and even motor racing talent lent their support to the service.  His Honour Judge Carr and Devon & Cornwall Police Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer also participated.  All filming was conducted observing strict Covid guidelines.

Two recipients of The High Sheriff of Cornwall Unsung Hero Awards also feature in the service, just a couple of examples of why we have reason to be positive about Cornwall’s future.
